Being together as a family for Christmas

Stuck in a difficult financial situation and with a family of 10 to look after, Salesi* didn't believe he would be able to provide Christmas presents for his family this year.

“This year has been a tough one and I couldn’t afford any gifts, so we were looking at just having a simple Christmas at home, which would be like any normal day,” he says.

However, thanks to the generosity of the many people supporting Monte Cecilia, our team were able to provide Salesi with a care package of food and presents, which his children were overjoyed to receive. 

“Receiving our big parcel, every child was thought of. We appreciate Monte so much not just for housing us, but for going over and above with the joy that has been given to my family,” he said. “These details mean so much, after the Monte staff left, I fell on my knees with tears.”
