Referred by Work and Income due to overcrowding in a temporary Housing New Zealand house, where they were sleeping on the floor of the dining room, Lucy*, Peter* and their child met with a Monte Cecilia Social Worker for an assessment.

With motels full and the temporary housing at an end, the couple were forced to sleep in their car until arrangements could be made. Fortunately, Monte came the following day with approval for a suitable place to home the family. They were offered a transitional house and moved in within the week.
