Cecilia, with her two children, came to Monte Cecilia over 28 years ago. New to Auckland, she was seeking emergency housing and a hand up to establish her little family in Auckland.

Monte staff reached out with love and compassion, housing Cecilia’s family, who months later, were offered a state house (HNZC).

Back then, staff saw in Cecilia a self determination to support her family and succeed as a women and mother, who wanted to stand tall in her faith and culture, and give back to the community supporting her, so they offered her a job.

For personal reasons, after 28 years having given so much to so many families, to staff and the development of Monte Cecilia Housing Trust, Cecilia resigned in late August.

As a team we wish her well and pray for her every success. Thank you Cecilia.
